The Scary Reality of Madness (£25 each including postage and packing)
Written and presented by Professor Phil Barker.
Filmed and directed by Tony Glover |
For some people who have been in madness, the experience has afforded them a tantalisingly special glimpse of their own deep consciousness. Madness, the greatest human crisis might, paradoxically, have a healing power that is spiritual in nature.
The truth that mad-persons might have found in the mirror of their own distressed experience, may be the reality that scares us most. |

Irene’s Story (£25 each inc postage and packing)
Irene's Story is the result of a unique collaboration between Dr Irene Whitehill, Professor Phil Barker and Tony Glover, the Sony Award Winning Independent film maker. |
Irene's Story features a day in the life of one woman who has lived with the diagnosis of manic depression for almost 20 years. Irene shows herself to be an extremely independent and creative woman. This film celebrates the richness of her life, as she refuses to embrace the stigma so often associated with mental illness.
This video is an ideal vehicle for all professionals and voluntary sector groups involved in mental health. Irene's Story will also help the general public see the experience of mental health problems in a more positive light. |
